OVERVIEW:

A solid premise line is essential in writing effective agent or publisher query letters, pitching film production companies or studios, or for having that perfect elevator pitch ready for that unexpected meeting with whoever might be empowered to move your story forward to final publication or production. Storygeeks can teach you how to master the dynamic process of premise line creation, design, and testing all of which are so critical for validating any story’s narrative integrity. We will take your original story ideas and then implement premise building and testing techniques to generate an original premise line.

HOW IT WORKS:

One-on-One Premise Session: you will work with a story consultant to develop one of your original story ideas into a solid premise line. Part of this session also includes assessing your idea for potential; not all ideas survive the process. This is a necessary step, and not always an encouraging one, but all is not lost, as we can direct you how best to proceed, should your idea not make the cut to the next step.

After you idea passes the premise assessment, we then go on to teach you the structure of every premise, develop your log line, tag line, and final premise line. This is a hands-on, up-close and personal process. You will do the writing, but your consultant will direct you all along the path from assessment to final premise line. (Note: The 3 hours must be consecutive hours in one day.)

Once you have done a single One-on-One Premise Session, you are then eligible to purchase subsequent premise sessions at a discount, in the form of premise packs. Premise Packs offer you a way to bundle multiple ideas into an affordable alternative to stand-alone sessions. The advantage of packs is that you can stretch your premise development over time and come back multiple times to work with a consultant to develop ideas as you master the the process.
