How It Works

Three Easy Steps

Step 1. Register your work:

First off, we highly recommend that you register your script with the US Copyright Office and/or the Writers Guild of America, before you show it to anyone. Including us.

Step 2. Order Services:

There are two ways to order services: online and manually.

Online Ordering:

Online ordering is the fastest way to get your script turned around (no waiting time for mail, etc.) You simply select the "PayPal Order" option on the Orders page and then follow directions from there. It is CRITICAL that you don't forget to fill out the online submission release form, before or after, you do your PayPal ordering.

Your script should also be emailed to us at : scripts@storygeeks.com. Submissions should be in Final Draft (version 5.0 or greater), or PDF formats. If you don't like the idea of sending your script over the internet (some people object to this) you can mail your script instead, but obviously this will delay your work order. See below for mailing instructions.

Manual Ordering:

The order form and the submission release form are printable PDF files from their respective links on pages throughout this site. Just click the link and print the PDF file. Mail the forms to our mailing address (see below). Be sure to print and complete 2 copies of each form (one for you/one for us). We must have both of these forms to complete your work, especially the release form. We can begin work immediately upon receipt of the release form, but your work will not be completed (returned to you) until we have received payment.

Hard copy scripts submitted through snail-mail WILL NOT BE RETURNED.

Turnaround times for services are as follows:

Service: Turnaround Time :
30 Minute Sitcom 2 Weeks (max)
60 Minute Teleplay 2 Weeks (max)
Feature Screenplay 2-3 Weeks (max)
Rush Orders 24-48 hours (email or hand delivery only)

Step 3. Pay

Payment Methods:

Payment methods accepted are PayPal, check, cashiers check, and money order. Non-online orders will take second position to those orders completed online. An order is considered "online" if its payment, order form, and release form have all been completed online. NOTE: You can still pay through PayPal, but have a non-online order, if any of the other pieces are manually sent to us by post. So... if speed is the issue, online is the way to go!

For Production Company / Talent-Literary Agencies:

For more information please visit our Outsourced Services page. Payment is billed on a monthly basis. We have a separate Customer Services Agreement (CSA) for production companies or agencies interested in volume orders and/or on-going services. The CSA covers all submission release issues as well as special arrangements for outsourced or long-term reading/story services. Please contact us directly for details.
